  3. Hello Mr. Gangan. I love this application. I saw it by friend's Iphone. But I use Blackberry 9700 model. So I want this software on my phone. It's possible. Please inform me by e-mail. (aykudu@kkgm.gov.tr)

  5. Hi Gangan,

I think there are major mistakes in the Chinese-Japanese-Chinese Dictionary. e.g.

    話す[はなす]
    先生と話すしてみよう

    分る[わかる]
    ものの分るった人

I believe that "originally" they are

    話す[はなす]
    先生と~してみよう

    分る[わかる]
    ものの~った人

and someone probably wrote a macro or automated program to insert the word into the ~ bit. This is fine for those people who know enough Japanese (like myself), but beginners in Japanese will learn wrong Japanese from this dictionary!

    Because the correct sentences are

    話す[はなす]
    先生と話してみよう

    分る[わかる]
    ものの分った人

  6. Quality of translation depends on the google's API OR Bing's API,
But only one API for the other applications, The App are two API to reference, not bad!

  7. Dear Gangan,

I am not quite sure whether your last post was a reply to my post. It's not a matter of quality of translation. The examples given in the 中日日中辞書 are succinct and enough to illustrate how the Japanese word is used. However, all Japanese students know that Japanese is an inflected language (not like Chinese), a word changes "endings" depending on the function of the word.

I will use English as an illustration. If the dictionary word is "study", and in the dictionary it mentions -ies, -ied, that doesn't mean that the word will become "studyies" or "studyied", but "studies" and "studied."

The examples I gave in my previous post are similar. The dictionary word is "hanasu" and "wakaru", and most dictionaries will mention "-shite" and "-tte". that doesn't mean that the words will become "hanasushite" or "wakarutte", but "hanashite" and "wakatte".

P.S. I just upgraded my iPhone to OS4, and this App is displaying Japanese vertically. I will really appreciate if this can be fixed quickly. Thanks again for your great App.
